Wireless card

The wireless card is commonly a WiFi enabled NIC (Network Interface Card). Computers with a WiFi wireless card installed can wirelessly connect to the Internet. Most laptops, netbooks, tablets and smartphones have wireless cards installed so users can access the Internet around the home as well in other areas such as public WiFi hotspots without requiring any cables. Some desktop computers also have wireless cards installed in case a physical cable connection cannot be made to the router.
