Monitors have been changing rapidly in recent years with them improving in many areas and including new technologies such as G-Sync or Freesync which help reducing stuttering and tearing in games. Acer is no stranger when it comes to premium monitors and have recently released a new Freesync model, the Predator XF270HU.

The Acer Predator XF270HU is a 27″ AMD Freesync monitor which offers a resolution of 2560×1440, a maximum 144Hz refresh rate, 4ms response time and an impressive IPS panel. In many ways, it is very similar to the popular and more expensive XB270HU G-Sync monitor except the XF270HU uses AMD Freesync variable refresh rate technology. On the Acer Predator XF270HU the Freesync range is a healthy 40Hz-144Hz and to utilize Freesync on this monitor you will need to use the DisplayPort connection with a compatible AMD graphics card.

This Acer monitor uses an IPS panel which supports 16.7 million colours, has good viewing angles and a 4ms response time. In addition, this monitor is flicker free and includes a blue light filter which can help reduce eye strain. Connections to this monitor include a DisplayPort, DVI-D and HDMI. As a bonus, there is a total of four USB 3.0 ports on this monitor.

In summary, the Acer XF270HU is a very attractive monitor for gamers. With a resolution of 2560×1440, an IPS display, a Freesync range of 40Hz-144Hz and a low 4ms response time, this monitor is definitely worth considering for gamers who want an exceptional gaming experience.
